She was born Sybil Katrice Barkley and raised in Detroit, MI by her mother and grandparents. Barkley-Staples is a graduate from the Illustrious Clark Atlanta Univ. with a degree in Mass Communications. She's written numerous short stories and insightful articles that have been published in various print and website media. Barkley-Staples gives credit to her family and the Boys & Girls Club for her strong will and determination to reach her goals.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Sybil graduated from the prestigious Cass Technical High School.
